Privacy Policy

FloodLens ("we", "us") is operated by Jackson Milburn, an Australian sole trader (ABN 51 318 772 659), that provides property hazard and context reports for Queensland. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and what happens to it. We aim to collect as little personal information as possible: FloodLens has no user accounts and works without you identifying yourself.

What we collect

What we do with it

We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not use it for third-party marketing.

Third-party lookups made when you run a report

Some report sections query live external services at the time you run a report. Those services receive the location being looked up (coordinates or address), but nothing identifying you personally:

Automated NBN, live suburb-crime and QBCC pool-register lookups are currently disabled.

Cookies and local storage

We do not use advertising cookies. If you purchase access, your access token is stored in your browser's local storage so your report keeps working on this device. Clearing your browser data removes it — the restore link in your receipt email brings it back while your access is still valid.

Retention

Access, correction, and complaints

You may request a copy of, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you (in practice this is at most your checkout email address and purchase history). Contact us through the support page. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).

Changes

We will update this page if our practices change. The "last updated" date above reflects the current version.
